How to be in control.

I know some may say, hey, this is nothing new, I knew it, but it’s always helpful to remind the forgetful, busy mind…

Ways to control adversarial and provocative attacks with composure and the ability to respond without losing yourself.

When someone tries to provoke you, the strongest response isn’t rage. It’s calm clarity that silences without shouting.

Here are 5 smart responses that can silence anyone.

1. I understand your point. Please explain your reasoning.

2. You’re absolutely right and here’s what im going to do about it

3. That’s sn interesting perspective. What made you think of it?

4. I appreciate you sharing that with me.

5. Silent pause then “thank you for that insight”.

Here are more detailed approaches:

1.” I see your point. Help me understand your reasoning. Which specific aspect seem unrealistic to you?”

2. “You’re absolutely right and here’s what I’m gonna do about it”. (Explain a compelling solution) Fix the problem.

3. “What made you think of that?”

4. “I appreciate you sharing that with me.”… “I had no idea this was happening.”…”I’m genuinely glad that you felt comfortable enough to tell me directly, rather than letting the frustration build up.”

5. “Thank you for that insight.”

I cannot control other’s irrational and provocative behavior (becoming rampant nowadays) but I can control my response.

My goal is not to win arguments but to preserve my peace of mind.

True strength lies in choosing grace under pressure.

Your responses reveal your character.

Choose wisely.

Stay calm and let them melt…
