Before we can better answer this question we need more information about what type of business you are doing or will do. That impacts the location selection decision more than anything else.
Also, when deciding on a location to start your entity you need to consider and input many factors besides taxation. Just looking at a corporate and personal income taxes does not bode well with how much overall taxes you will pay to sustain your life and business.
As a rule of thumb, even though some European countries may be very attractive when you look at the “overall taxation” schemes and add all the taxes and burdens that you are going to be faced with one will realize that EU is not as pinkish as believed! There is also a “tremendous” amount of EU standards and bureaucracy (red tape) businesses face when doing business in any EU country. As a matter of fact we have helped many startups move their business to the US because of the rules-regulations (sometimes to the absurd) and bunch of taxes they faced.
So in a nutshell here is what you need to consider when making a comparison between other countries and the US:
In the US:
VAT 0%
Corporate Tax Rate 21% (with allowable exceptions for businesses can be as low as 7%)
Personal Income Tax Rate US has a progressive tax rate of 10%, 15%, 25%, 28%, 33%, 35% (Max depending on income) Some States such as Florida does not have this tax)
Sales Tax Rate 0% (depends on states and counties, in some states there is a 5% to 10% sales tax)
Social Security Rate 12.4%
Social Security Rate For Companies 6.2%
Social Security Rate For Employees 6.2%
Basically if you look at all the details on how a person is taxed, the US is (most of the time) a better place to do business overall. That does not encompass the quality of life and other things that may be attributable to the final decision to the location selection.
One final note, when you start a business in the US and if you open any business or any bank account outside of the United States you need to report the activities of that business or account to the IRS and other State taxation reporting authorities.
We hope this helps.
